As we start a new year, we seem to look at it as a new start, a new begining, time for change, time for resolution. As I do every year, I made my new year's resolution to lose weight, get in shape, and so on and so on..lol. This year I decided to also add something to the list I may actually accomplish...a new look to many rooms in our home!!
I thought to myself, "why not?" I mean, we do specialize in home decor and interior design. Of course like most professions, you spend all of your time doing the work for others and not yourself. So this year is the year!!
We built our home a little over 6 years ago. In that time, we have slowly been trying to finish our basement. Here's where we are six years later:
Our concrete floors (Obviously someone did not lay a drop cloth while painting pieces for the store..lol)
Walls were completed a few years ago with wood and crackle paint.
Ceiling definetly needs a new look. Old corrugated tin will give a great rustic look!
At least we are partially done.
Our bar screams 70's..lol. Absolutely getting a make over!!
So even with a decent start, you can tell we have a lot of work ahead of us. With the store closed on Mondays and Tuesdays for our winter hours, its the perfect time to work on this project and make new pieces for the store. First will be the ceiling. Tune in next week for before and after photos and details.
I can't wait to see the finished project. A few simple inexpensive changes can make the world of difference to a room, your home, your life :-)
